We Are Closing After Seven Years

After seven years of trading in Hampton Village, it is with regret that I am announcing that Hampton Cheese and Wine Company will cease trading at the end of December 2017.

This decision to close is as a direct result of two significant events: the lease on the premises expires at the end of 2017 and I have recently suffered a heart attack.

Since we opened on 20th December 2010, I have been overwhelmed by the support and encouragement of Hampton Village and it’s businesses, residents and visitors.

As well as the shop and tasting room in Station Road, I have developed a significant and growing business running corporate tasting events and public speaking engagements.

From the start of 2018, I will therefore be focusing on the development and growth of business in the following areas…

  • Continuing the popular programme of Tutored Tastings using local venues.
  • Corporate Tasting Events.
  • Public and After Dinner Speaking.
  • Writing and Publishing.
  • Private Client Wine Club supplying wines to customers locally.

The last full day of trading in Station Road will be Christmas Eve and I will then be running some special ‘Last Nights’ between Christmas and New Year.

Any gift or tasting vouchers will be honoured until 24th December - if you are unable to use them before then,I will be happy to refund in full the value of the vouchers.

More details will follow through our e-mailing list, social media and in the shop itself.

I would personally like to thank everyone who has been associated with the success of Hampton Cheese and Wine Company throughout the past seven years - colleagues, fellow traders, suppliers, neighbours and of course, our customers.
